In this tutorial we will going to show you how to easily create a drop shadow effect with Gimp using a special filter effect that came free with Gimp, it will allow you to add a drop shadow effect (fx) to every object imported to Gimp like text or another image, we will be using a transparent PNG file so the shadow effect will be visible on an empty places and spaces within the image, you will be able to set the distance the strength (opacity) the radius and even the color of the shadow!
