In this short Gimp tutorial we will going to show you how to easily apply and create a 3D text effect in Gimp without the need of a plug-in and only with a built in functions of the Gimp UI (Text design), for the 3D text effect (FX) we will use a free texture pattern that came preinstalled with gimp for this Gimp video tutorial (This Gimp tutorial was made with Gimp version 2.8 - 2018).
